An interesting change from mashed potato.

 

Ingredient list

1kg potatoes
450g apples (about 3)
margarine or olive oil (avoid margarine if you are on the Best Bet Diet; or use one with no trans fats / hydrogenated fat)
salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

Peel and boil the potatoes until soft.

Peel, core and chop the apples and simmer in a little water until soft.

Mash the apple and potato together with about a tablespoon margarine or olive oil.

Season to taste.
